Thompson Rivers University Geography Society (TRUGS)
Over the past two years and a half years I have been involved with the Thompson Rivers University Geography Society. When I first started out I was just attending bi-weekly meetings and helping out with a few events. The 2023/24 academic year I was the social media manager and posted all of our events on Facebook and Instagram as well as sharing it to our group chat and creating posters to put around campus. As well as social media I also helped plan events including our attendance at the annual Geography conference as well as many socials. The 2024/25 academic year I became a Co-President for the club while continuing to run our social media pages. TRU hosted the annual Geography conference this year so I was part of the planning team and created the scavenger hunt. I have enjoyed being a part of a university club and it has given me so many opportunities and I have met so many amazing people.
